How to Plan a Fabulous Fairy First Birthday Party

Updated: Aug 12

Hey Fête Baes! Your child’s first birthday is a truly magical milestone, deserving of an equally enchanting celebration. Step into the whimsical realm of fairies as we guide you through creating an unforgettable Fairy First Birthday party for your little one.

Setting the Enchanted Stage

Transform your party space into a fairyland wonderland with meticulous attention to detail. Picture the perfect backdrop that captures the essence of magic. For some inspo, we recently crafted ‘Zarielle's Fairy First’ birthday backdrop, a bespoke creation adorned with pastel hues of pink, lavender and white with moving fairy wings, cascading florals and iridescent accents throughout. It was simply enchanting! See picture below.

Fairy Decor Delights

Adorn your party area with fairy-inspired decor—think florals, twinkling fairy lights, butterflies and fairy wings. Or even toadstool props! Our setup even featured moving butterfly wings that the guests were obsessed with!

Table Decor

In our setup white fabric tablecloths were used for a more elegant look, with shimmery lavender table runners. Instead of cups, water bottles with themed labels were used and set on top of layered lavender hued plates, which was not only super cute, but served as a great way to keep plates and napkins from flying away as our event was outdoors.

Centerpieces

The centrepieces were gorgeous hoop styled stands adorned with faux florals and butterfly details as well as potted faux floral centrepieces, were used on the adult tables for added dimension and variety. You can also use a party set like this that includes cups, plates, napkins and straws!

Dress to Impress with Fairy Attire

Invite your young guests to join in the enchantment by dressing as fairies. Don’t forget to include this dress code on the invites! Encourage creativity with fairy, elf, or woodland creature costumes, creating unforgettable photo opportunities. Share your vision on a Pinterest board to inspire your guests.

Wings and Wands

Gift fairy wings and wands as party favors and watch as the children embrace their newfound fairy personas. We opted to put our fairy wings on the back of our little guests chairs! For added fun, set up a wand decorating station!
